Subscription Law

Free check, no account

Does your sign-up page say what the new law says it must?

From 1 January 2027 every UK subscription sign-up page has to show the key facts up front: that payments repeat, how often, how much, the least the customer will pay, how to cancel and when reminders come. Paste your page and see where you stand.

Public pages only. We load the page once, read what a customer sees, and keep no copy of it.

The ten checks

  • Says clearly that payments repeat
  • Says how often you take payment
  • Shows the amount each time
  • Says the least the customer will pay in total
  • Says how and when the customer can cancel
  • Says how and when you will send reminders
  • Says what happens when a trial or offer ends
  • Points to a way to cancel online
  • No boxes ticked in advance
  • The key facts on the page itself, not only in the terms

What you get

  1. A score out of 100, weighted by how serious each gap is. Saying that payments repeat and how to cancel count most.
  2. The reason for each check: the words on your page that passed it, or what was missing.
  3. What to add, most important first, each with the part of Subscription Law that does it for you, or how to do it by hand.
  4. The full report by email, so you can send it to whoever looks after the website.

Questions

What does the check look for?
The ten things the new law says must be in plain sight on the page where someone joins, plus boxes ticked in advance and a way to cancel online. It reads the words a customer sees on the page you give it.
Is the score a legal opinion?
No. It is a software check of the words on the page against the law as published. It cannot see your checkout, your emails or your terms, and it is not legal advice.
Which page should I check?
The page where a customer sees the price and joins: a pricing page, a membership page, a plan page or the first step of checkout. Check your account page too if it has a cancel button.
Do you keep a copy of my page?
No. We load it once, keep the results and the short quotes that show why each check passed or failed, and throw the rest away.
My page only shows prices after it loads
The check opens the page in a real browser when a plain load sees too little text. If the score still looks wrong, send us the address and we will look.
